2018 saw the opening of a massive 7.5-acre crystalline lagoon in the Tampa Bay area, Florida. Metro Development Group and Crystal Lagoons®, the water-innovation company that specializes in water, teamed up to bring America’s first man-made crystalline lagoon to central Florida.
The turquoise lagoon, located within a condo complex, is part of the new Epperson development and the grand opening festivities included an appearance by Olympic champion Michael Phelps, the firm’s global ambassador, as well as water ski shows.
Just a few months later, the multinational in innovation in water inaugurated Beachwalk, in association with Twin Creeks Development. It is a mixed use project in St. John’s County, Florida, which boasts a pristine 14 –acre lagoon as a central element.
The Epperson lagoon was the first of many projects that Crystal Lagoons has developed in Florida. During the upcoming days, Sole Mia, a project located in the exclusive sector de Bal Harbour, in Miami, is to open a 7.5 –acre lagoon.
Crystal Lagoons has developed a pioneering, innovative and sustainable technology that has been patented worldwide, which allows crystalline lagoons of unlimited sizes to be built and maintained at very low costs anywhere in the world, using a minimum amount of additives and energy.
This state-of-the-art, environment friendly technology, allows the use of any type of water. It uses up to 100 times less chemicals than conventional swimming pool or drinking water treatment technologies, and only consumes 2% of the energy needed by conventional swimming pool filtration systems. Furthermore, the technology fully complies with the most stringent international physicochemical and microbiological water quality standards.
